Tracy has been practising yoga for over a decade.  After a serious injury, she became a dedicated Yogi.  Yoga was fundamental with the healing and strength process.

After healing, she travelled to India to be immersed in traditional yoga lifestyle and practise to qualify in teaching with Yoga Vidya Gurukal which Ashram was inaugurated by the legendary Yoga guru, BKS Iyengar.

She says, “It’s all about the breath.  The breath is the gateway to the mind.  And through the breath and yoga we access body/mind balance which is the true purpose.”

She specialises in teaching Hatha and yoga nidra teaching. Her practice is focused on bringing awareness to controlling the breath for healing the mind and body.

Traditional Indian Hatha Yoga with Tracy

Hatha yoga is the oldest branch of yoga. The Sanskrit word haṭha literally means “force” and thus alludes to a system of physical techniques. The Hatha Yoga Pradīpikā is a classic fifteenth-century Sanskrit manual on hatha yoga, written by Svāmi Svātmārāma, is among the most influential surviving texts on hatha yoga.

A class on traditional Hatha Yoga, as taught in India, including Pranayama breathing techniques (Pranayama), asana (core Yoga postures) practice and meditation. This authentic yoga class taught by Tracey  will also have a focus on connecting breath with movement to bring harmony to body and mind.
