Animal and Climate Justice Activist

Rose is the Actions Coordinator and a member of the Mission team in Animal Rebellion. Rose has been an animal rights activist for almost a decade, volunteering with many organisations in the UK and Hong Kong including PETA, WildAid, Anonymous for the Voiceless and the Animal Save Movement and organising the London chapter of the Earthlings Experience for two years. She also spent time studying primates in South Africa while studying MSc Animal Welfare Science, Ethics and Law at Winchester University. While working as the Investigations and Evidence Coordinator at World Animal Protection Rose attended the October rebellion 2019 and knew she had to get involved.

She joined Animal Rebellion in January 2020 and has volunteered full time since March 2020. She has designed and coordinated dozens of actions, leading large complex projects with up to hundreds of people, including international action Blood On Yours Hands where activists dyed fountains red around the world, the McDonald’s distribution centre and burger factory blockades, the Arla blockade 2021, the COP26 action at DEFRA, the beagle liberation from MBR Acres among others.

Most recently Rose was part of the team that developed the Plant Based Future campaign and coordinated actions at dairy distribution centres. The campaign mobilised hundreds of people to take action and resulted in major disruption to the supply of milk and saw empty milk shelves in supermarkets. Rose was responsible for coordinating hundreds of participants in about 15 teams blockading 7 sites for an extended period of time. Rose has also taken a leading role aiding the development of Just Stop Oil’s actions team as well as supporting Kill the Bill, Extinction Rebellion and Animal Justice Project in improving their action designs and delivery.
