Kerry was elected as the Labour MP for Bristol East in 2005, and in September 2015 she was appointed to Labour’s Shadow Cabinet as shadow Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, with responsibility for issues such as food and farming, animal welfare, biodiversity and protecting our natural environment. She has been vegan for more than 20 years.
