Heather transitioned to a plant-based diet 15 years ago with her family. They dreamt about creating a residential vegan community in Mauritius but, after many years of research, concluded that society as a whole needed two things first. Education on the ‘WHY’ and the experience of the ‘WOW’. That is why she launched her non-profit Ecoshe.
In her engaging 1-hour workshop, Heather shares her knowledge in a self-produced documentary called ‘Plant Power’. This short film brings together the most crucial points she discovered during her 15 years of research as a passionate vegan. The film is hard-hitting and divided into health, animal welfare, and the environment. After the workshop, participants partake in a short quiz, and she then invites them to try being vegan for a meal, a day, a week, or a month.
At Ecoshe, Heather is training affiliates who want to share this knowledge to use her platform to offer the same workshop, show the ‘Plant Power’ documentary, and get paid between 30 & 70% of the income for doing so. Businesses and schools have shown interest, and she needs a global team to help her take this compelling workshop international. The workshop tackles 14 of the 17 United Nations sustainable development goals.
In Heather’s approach to educating people about veganism, her first principles are empathy and understanding. She believes the world will benefit less from a few perfect vegans and more from numerous imperfect vegans. Ecoshe brings together a community of people from all walks of life that become a support system for each other. Ecoshe also hopes to focus on tackling the pain points of transitioning by preparing food packs and distributing as much as possible from manufacturer to end user at an affordable price.
Heather has been published on several platforms, including Investor’s Magazine, Le Defi, and L’express newspapers in Mauritius, and invited onto many talk shows on Radio. Heather also wrote a book called ‘Dear River’ on spirituality and wellness, and she is a qualified yoga teacher under The Art of Living. She and her team hope you either join the Ecoshe workshop to learn more or become an affiliate or supplier of vegan products to her network.
