Record attendance for a UK vegan event – 14,000 people visited VegfestUK London 2017

VegfestUK’s 5th annual vegan Consumer show at Olympia London on the weekend of October 21-22 attracted a record-breaking total of around 14,000 visitors, drawing huge attention to a rapidly growing vegan lifestyle and showcasing the myriad benefits of being vegan on an unprecedented scale under one roof.

There were altogether around 280 stalls and 23 global caterers showcasing a huge array of vegan products and vegan cuisine, with a large collection of special offers for both newcomers to a vegan way of life as well as seasoned vegans.

The educational features on offer cover a wide range of areas from fitness and performance, health, animal rights, radical veganism and environmental issues, to activism, veganism for those in their advanced years, raw living foods, recipes for cooking, plus a comedy corner and a hangout zone for teens. The event also played host to the VegfestUK Awards Ceremony which celebrated the best of a vegan lifestyle in the UK.

Amongst the vegan celebrities in attendance were actress Evanna Lynch (who played Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter film series), former Made in Chelsea star Lucy Watson, actor Alan Ford, presenter Jasmine Harman plus many more, all of whom had a great time at this vegan blockbuster event.
