Rainbow Hands

We needs to eat at least 5 handfuls of vegetables every day. We also need all the different vitamins, minerals and antioxidants in all the colours of the rainbow. Make a Rainbow handprint  to remind you to eat a rainbow of 5 portions of vegetables every day.

We also make pirate hats – the world needs more Pirates of the carob bean to find better ethical pirate copies of things that are hurting our health and planet.

Mr Brainy Potato Head

We need more fats for our brain not fats for our bottoms. Make a potato head , scoop out his starchy sugary brains and swap them for omega 3 rich seeds. As his hair grows you can give him a haircut – eat his hair and help your brains too.

Give Peas a Chance

We need fresh whole foods not half foods. It may look dead but while a pea or a grain is whole it’s packed with nutrients to help it grow into a plant that’s taller than you are. Once you crack it open it starts to loose nutrients and during processing it loses even more nutrients. Unlock the power and energy in a whole pea and grow a huge pea plant for yourself and remember when you eat fresh peas they have all that energy stored inside that helps you grow too.

Rainbow Fruit Kebabs

Vegetables are most important but fruit is important too. Red strawberries have vitamin K, orange apricots have iron , yellow bananas have magnesium and potassium,  Green Kiwi fruit are full of vitamin C, Blue Berries and Purple / Black Cherries are full of anti-oxidants. If you manage to make a fruit kebab with a full rainbow you can have some free omega 3 rich chocolate bean sauce to dip them in.

Electric Bananas For a Healthy Heart

Our heart needs the minerals and vitamins in fruit and vegetables to make electricity to keep it ticking. Key Message If we die, and our heart stops sometimes Drs can bring us back to life by giving our heart a big electric shock. We discover how important zinc and copper are and that there are enough minerals in a banana to make enough electricity to power a small alarm clock.
