International professional vegan cyclist

Christine Vardaros is a world-class vegan cyclist - both vegan and competing professionally since 2000. In addition, she is a journalist and writer. Publications she has written for include VegNews magazine, CYCLOCROSS magazine, The Vegetarian, Vegan Health & Fitness Magazine, and CyclingNews.com.
Vardaros also serves as athlete spokesperson for The Vegan Society, in addition to IDA (In Defense of Animals) and PCRM (Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine). She has spoken at events such as Veggie Pride Parade in NYC, World Vegetarian Day in San Francisco, International Animal Rights Conference in Luxembourg, Paris Vegan Day and ECOPOP - Belgium's Ecological Biological Conference. In addition, Christine is a founding member of the Marin County Bicycle Coalition, and a member of the athlete's advisory board for the Stone Foundation for Sports Medicine and Arthritis Research. And she's never owned a car.
