1.00pm Sally - Anne Ryan - The Road to Vegan - From the Berni Inn to Candle 79.

It took a long time to graduate from gristly sausages and cheese on everything, to mock meats and fancy schmancy Vegan restaurants. I wish VegFest had been invented when I was a child, I could have avoided so much pain, the morbid fear of the school milk monitor, hiding meat under brussel sprouts, weight gain and a nasty digestive disease that had me popping 6 pills a day. In The Road to Vegan I will introduce you to the world of Vegan from the perspective of a girl whose weekly treat as a child was a dinner of steak and chips in front of Ted Roger's ‘321'. www.planthappy.com

14:00 - Chrissy Leyland and Kelly Slade - Try the Vegan Approach

Are you thinking about going vegan? Have you tried being vegan before but come across some challenges? Are you a new vegan? If the answer is yes to any of these questions, then join us at the launch of the London Vegan Approach.

Volunteers taking the Vegan Approach will make a commitment to go vegan for one month after the workshop. We will outline our 10 simple steps to start you on your vegan journey including what to buy, where to eat and how to deal with family and friends. The Vegan Approach month will end with a social event in London.

15:00 - aneesh popat - sun salutations - surya namaskara

A mental and physical form of devotional yoga which strengthens the mind and character, helps develop a stronger body, will power and helps to understand the true nature of our subtler selves. Whether a beginner or an expert come and share here your experiences, stories and inspirations from Surya Namaskars. (Please come on a lighter more empty stomach to this active participation demonstration).

16:00 - emily-clare hill (emily yoga) - how to fly your pigeon!

This workshop will work through the body warming up and opening the correct muscle groups and find the strength and the postures to allow your pigeon to fly with confidence. Bringing awaresness to the structure of the body when building towards a pose, opening and strengthening the shoulders and core. Finding fun and light within ourselves and our practise, learning to not take things so seriously. Finding a peak in the practise to let go and release the mind, helping to relieve stress and anxiety and step out of the norm. Join Emily for a dynamic, fun practise to keep spirit lifted.

Most people don't laugh enough, yet most people love to laugh. Laughter Yoga is a unique concept that combines laughing, yoga breathing and a sense of playfulness - it is not about doing yoga postures. Apart from being really good fun, it has many health benefits, helping to: reduce stress, boost your immune system, increase your oxygen levels, reduce pain, lower blood pressure and improve circulation. It's good aerobic exercise too. It helps you to relax, feel good, be more resilient, productive and focussed and it's a great way to connect with others and have fun.
