Tony Bishop-Weston (vegan for nearly 20 years) was born into a delicatessen dynasty in West London, battling with a cheese addiction for many years until escaping London to start up a vegan guest house on the shore of Lochbroom, near Ullapool, in the Scottish Highlands.
It was here he authored the notorious and groundbreaking 'Rainbows & Wellies - The Taigh Na Mara Cookbook', and won Vegetarian Society and Vegan Society hotel of the year awards going on to help a string of caterers make their menus tastier, healthier and more sustainable.
After a brief stint as breakfast and drive time presenter on local radio, Tony gradually headed back south with key positions at both The Vegetarian Society and then The Vegan Society helping to organise The Vegetarian Society Awards and the Vegan Society Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Tony then helped nutritionist Yvonne Bishop-Weston from Cranks Vegetarian Restaurants set up the health and nutrition consultancy Foods for Life and wrote 'Vegan' and 'The Ultimate Book of Vegan Cooking'.
New cookbooks in the pipeline include an English version of the Dutch, Sea First Foundation cookbook ‘Non-Fish-a-Liscious' and ‘Plantarian' featuring nutritious and delicious optimally healthy dishes with nutrition input from Yvonne.
